JP’s Originals looks to Worldpay for secure processing, actionable insights and easy Shopify integration
JP's Originals, a U.K.-based traditional and specialty tea company founded by Urvashi Agarwal in 2020, specializes in providing high-quality, whole-leaf teas and functional well-being infusions.
Previously, Urvashi was a self-confessed “massive coffee addict” who then decided to explore “the world of tea” instead.
Inspired by her grandfather, Jaideo Prasad (JP), a well-respected tea grower in India, Urvashi created JP's Originals to make authentic teas accessible with an emphasis on provenance, sustainability and plastic-free packaging. The company also offers CBD-infused blends, a range developed after Urvashi experienced a health issue and subsequently actively sought natural wellness solutions.
“The mission of my business,” she says, “is to provide exceptional tea and make it easy for everyday drinking. Our clients are either people moving away from coffee, or people who are huge tea enthusiasts and they want to try some really delicious specialty teas.”
Broad product distribution
Urvashi offers her diverse range of products online through the JP Originals website, and they are also available at major retailers, including Harrods, Daylesford and Whole Foods. Her teas are additionally featured in various hotels.
Straightforward integration with Shopify
For Urvashi, it was important that the payment system she selected would be very easy to integrate with their Shopify-based website, accept CBD products and also be a worldwide brand she could trust.
“We don’t have an in-house developer, so having a system that could work effortlessly with Shopify was important for us,” she notes. “Once we were on-boarded, all we had to do was just download a plug-in and integrate it with our Shopify site. We were up and running within a minute. The integration with Shopify was really that simple.”

JP’s Originals uses Worldpay eCommerce for processing fast, secure online payments, and Worldpay Dashboard for valuable insights and a view of each stage of the payment process in real time – from transactions to settlement to invoicing.
“Setting up Worldpay eCommerce was very, very easy, and I also really like the dashboard,” Urvashi enthuses. “It’s quite a handy tool to have where you can access everything. I also like that I get my statement every month, so I know exactly what I’m being charged for. With Worldpay, I've got the proper payment solutions that I need for my business.
“The Worldpay team is also very helpful – and I get great support,” she continues. “We had a really good discussion about what the business currently does, and what we intend to do. And after we had those in-depth conversations, they were able to advise us on the best course of action to take and how to most effectively proceed.”
